How the Skills page works

Updated June 14, 2026

Overview

The Skills page shows every capability currently active for your agents, and lets you configure new ones. Skills are grouped by type — Zendesk Skills appear first, followed by CRM, Data Warehouses, Custom Connectors, and Notification Channels.

A skill only becomes available to agents once its corresponding integration is connected and active.

Skills that mirror integrations

Some skill sections are read-only summaries that reflect what you've configured elsewhere:

Data warehouse skills

Each active warehouse that has at least one saved query contributes skill entries to this section — one row per query, displaying the query name and the warehouse it belongs to. Query names and SQL are configured in the Data Warehouses section on the Integrations page; the Skills page is read-only for these.

Custom data connector skills

Each active Custom Data Connector appears as a skill row showing its name and endpoint URL. Deactivating a connector on the Integrations page removes it from the Skills view. Connectors are created, edited, and deleted from the Custom Data Connectors section on the Integrations page.
