Connect live HTTP endpoints to keep your knowledge base in sync with data served via APIs.
What is an API data source?
An HTTP endpoint (REST API) that returns JSON or plain text. Inquiru fetches it immediately on creation and again on your chosen schedule, keeping the knowledge base in sync with live data — useful for product catalogues, pricing pages, FAQs served via API, and more.
Description / Keywords
Add a short description (e.g. "Popular casino games list, live slot titles") that is prepended to the stored content. This helps the agent find the source when answering relevant questions, even if the raw data doesn't contain the right keywords.
Editing an API source
Click View/Edit to open the modal. In edit mode you can change the endpoint URL, description, and refresh interval. Changing the URL or description triggers an immediate re-fetch and re-embed.
Manual refresh
Click Refresh on any API source row to trigger an immediate re-fetch outside the scheduled interval.
